Schould we establish a safety car phase for the current AI arms race?

I think it is a good idea to activate a safety car phase on AI development and slightly interrupt the AI race in order to remove dangerous things from the racing track. Why not to establish some kind of FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) which sets the rules for that and oversights the whole thing?

And I think, this is a good metaphor for Anthropic's suggestion to halt frontier model development and to take a deep breathe.

Ich denke, es ist eine gute Idee eine Art Safety-Car-Phase in der Entwicklung von KI einzulegen und etwas abzubremsen, damit die gefählichen Dinge von der Rennstrecke geräumt werden können. Warum nicht irgendeine Art FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile) initiieren, welche die Regularien für die Rennen setzt und das ganze Ding überwacht?

Und ich denke, es ist eine gute Metapher für Anthropics Vorschlag bei der Entwicklung von top Modellen für eine Zeit lang innezuhalten.
